Background of the Customer
Our customer is the hungarian subsidiary of the Danish parent company, which distributes and services industrial and professional cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners, sweepers, high-pressure washers).
What was the requirement?
Our customer wanted to automate the screwdriving process in the production process. Screws were often left out during manual screwdriving by the operator, resulting in quality problems and complaints. The goal was to improve quality and reduce the number of complaints.
Our offered Solution
We integrated a UR10 robot with a Deprag automatic screwdriver, which can handle three different types of products. The application works in an in-line system, so robotic screwdriving is preceded and followed by manual assembly. The solution ensures that all screws are placed in the right place, while the system guarantees fast and reliable operation.
What was the benefit for the customer?
With the introduction of the automated screwing system, a significant improvement in quality has been achieved, as the problem of defective or missing screws has disappeared. As a result, the number of complaints was drastically reduced, which not only increased production efficiency, but also contributed to strengthening the company’s market reputation.
