Flexible vacuum control
Check valves or flow reducers can fulfil the needs.
An international company manufactures fiber cement products for use in facades, interior design and gardening.
During the production process, the cement slabs are gripped with a vacuum. In the past, it was a problem to grip various – sometimes structured and grooved – surfaces.
The solution was the Kenos sponge gripper offered by the Swedish manufacturer Piab. It grips the various surfaces perfectly, and its service life exceeded expectations.
It works flawlessly even after more than 100,000 cycles! The technology can be applied to wood, concrete, and brick materials up to a load of several hundred kilograms.
Check valves or flow reducers can fulfil the needs.
The KVG gripping system can be equipped with integrated vacuum generation or suitable for separated vacuum generation.
The integrated vacuum generator is a modular multi-stage COAX® ejector of easy maintenance.
The material of the KVG gripping system is made of a technical foam (FDA material approved available), with different pitch holes and thickness or suction cups.
Typical applications are palletizing and handling within packaging, metal, glass and wood industry.
