Our client manufactures battery housings, where the manufacturing process consists of several steps: deep drawing, washing, quality control, and then packaging. Until now, the material handling between the individual stations was done manually, which they wanted to make more efficient and economical with an automated solution.
We have installed a customised multi-level conveyor system that connects the washing equipment to the inspection stations and then automatically transfers the finished products to the packaging and palletizing area. The system fully automates material handling within the plant.
Automated material handling has triggered more workflows, resulting in significant labor and time savings. In addition, the system helps to increase the scalability of production and increase efficiency, while reducing the possibility of errors due to manual processes.
