Our customer is a Belgium-based company with more than 100 years of experience, a global leader in ingredients and services for the bakery, patisserie and chocolate industries. Headquartered in Belgium, it serves artisans, industrial producers and retailers in over 100 countries through subsidiaries in nearly 90 countries and more than 75 production sites worldwide. The company employs over 11,000 people and combines tradition with strong innovation capabilities, including a global network of innovation centers.
The customer needed a fully automatic, continuous palletizing solution for two different bucket sizes (5 kg and 13 kg), including precise positioning of the buckets on the pallet.
We implemented two full-automatic dual-size palletizing stations, each built around a UR20 cobot with a custom rotary cylinder-operated gripper, SICK cameras and three infeed conveyors. The camera-based positioning system ensures accurate placement of both bucket sizes during continuous operation.
The new system enabled truly continuous, dual-size palletizing with precise, camera-guided bucket positioning, eliminating manual handling and improving throughput. Following the successful implementation in Hungary, the international cooperation is now continuing with an ongoing rollout in Poland.
