Background of the Customer
Our client is one of the leading agricultural companies in Hungary as a member of the Bayer Group. The main activity of the company is the production and distribution of premium seeds, especially corn and rapeseed hybrids.
What was the requirement?
The company had to deliver a special seed protection powder within the production line to a height of several floors. This task was originally performed by a human operator, but it soon became clear that this solution was ineffective.
Our offered Solution
Our company opted for Piab’s vacuum conveying equipment, which not only provides space-saving and dust-free transport, but also guarantees minimal maintenance costs and time. The entire system consists of a suction point and two conveyors. The seed protection powder is transported from a Big Beg bag to a height of 20 meters to the seed dressing machines to coat the grain with a powder-based protective layer.
What was the benefit for the customer?
With our automation, we have eliminated time-consuming manual material handling from the production process, thus making it continuous. We saved time and human resources for the company. Instead of manual tasks, the freed up human labor can perform other, more value-creating tasks within the company.
