Our customer is a Hungary-based company with more than 25 years of experience, one of Europe’s leading pet food producers. Headquartered in Budapest, it operates 12 production facilities across 10 European countries and supplies more than 400 customers in over 35 markets. Its portfolio spans established branded and private-label products for both dogs and cats, including dry, wet and snack formats. The company places strong emphasis on sustainability across its production network.
The customer needed a non-stop palletizing solution for dry pet food bags in two different sizes (8–15 kg), a process that had previously been carried out entirely by manual labour.
We implemented a UR20 cobot equipped with a vacuum gripper, a slip sheet feeder and an infeed conveyor, capable of palletizing both bag sizes without interruption. The system was designed so that two production lines could run side by side simultaneously, ensuring continuous, non-stop operation throughout the week.
The new system released employees from physically demanding, unergonomic palletizing work while enabling truly continuous production. By supporting two parallel lines, the customer significantly increased throughput and achieved a stable, uninterrupted production flow around the clock.
