Background of the Customer

Our customer is a hungarian construction company that has been developing and implementing innovative, thin steel sheet-based mobile construction technologies for more than 20 years. The company provides a full range of general design and general construction services in Hungary and international markets.

What was the requirement? 

The customer manufactures support frames for photovoltaic systems and wanted to automate the servicing of the bending machine used in the manufacturing process. Their main goal was to replace human labor, increase productivity and improve quality.

Our offered Solution

We implemented an edge bending solution based on a UR10e robot, for which we designed an electromagnetic gripper and a unique Onrobot gripper. The entire robot programming and application design have been completed, which is easy to use thanks to the intuitive user interface without any industrial robotics programming knowledge, so the customer can perform the treatments and modifications in-house. The project was implemented on a short deadline, in less than a month, with full technical support from Tech-Con Hungária.

What was the benefit for the customer?

Thanks to the new system, the customer was able to significantly reduce the burden on human labor, while increasing productivity and production quality. The robot’s intuitive operation allows for flexible and quick interventions, so the company has created a more efficient, stable and competitive production environment in the long term.
