Background of the Customer
Our client is a global electronics manufacturing service provider that is a global leader in product design, manufacturing, and supply chain management. It operates at several sites in Hungary and uses innovative solutions in the production of electronic products. Its goal is to increase efficiency, ensure quality and support sustainable manufacturing processes.
What was the requirement?
Our client wanted to automate the process of destroying returned IQOS devices. Previously, disassembly, quality sorting and packaging were carried out by human operators, which was time-consuming and less efficient.
Our offered Solution
A FANUC M-20iA industrial robot has been integrated with conveyors and pneumatic actuators. The system can handle several devices at the same time, it also performs disassembly, vacuum packaging and boxing, so the entire process works automatically.
What was the benefit for the customer?
Thanks to the automated solution, our client was able to significantly increase the efficiency and safety of the destruction process. Human resources have been freed up, and the workflow has become faster, more accurate and more cost-effective.
