Our client wanted to automate the process of destroying returned IQOS devices. Previously, disassembly, quality sorting and packaging were carried out by human operators, which was time-consuming and less efficient.
A FANUC M-20iA industrial robot has been integrated with conveyors and pneumatic actuators. The system can handle several devices at the same time, it also performs disassembly, vacuum packaging and boxing, so the entire process works automatically.
Thanks to the automated solution, our client was able to significantly increase the efficiency and safety of the destruction process. Human resources have been freed up, and the workflow has become faster, more accurate and more cost-effective.
