Our customer is the hungarian subsidiary of the global parent company, which is engaged in the development, manufacture and distribution of energy management and industrial automation solutions. The company supports sustainable and efficient energy use in industrial, commercial and residential environments with its intelligent electrical products and digital technologies.
Our client manufactures circuit breakers and FI relays, wanted to automate the servicing of special purpose machines. Previously, this task was performed by human operators, but the goal was to make the process more efficient and replace human labor.
We installed a UR10 robot that can lift 19 circuit breakers from the plastic box at the same time with the help of a unique gripper and then place them on a conveyor. The conveyor separates the pieces one by one and turns them to a horizontal position, and then they are placed on the pallet gripper with the help of a two-axis actuator.
With the automated system, our customer was able to significantly increase the efficiency and accuracy of production. By freeing up human resources, a safer and more reliable workflow has developed, while production has become more continuous and predictable.
