Our client is a Hungarian engineering company with more than three decades of experience in the field of control engineering and automation. The company specializes in the design and implementation of Industry 4.0 applications, process control systems and complex automation solutions.
Our client’s goal was to automate the material handling and workflow between the special purpose machines in order to reduce manual work and make the preparation and sorting of cardboard boxes more efficient.
We have created an integrated conveyor system that connects the cardboard folding machine, the printer and the picking machines. The system automatically forwards the empty cartons to the appropriate conveyor, prints the picking list, places the shipping label and then forwards the cartons to several tracks.
Automation has significantly simplified and accelerated the workflow, reduced the need for manual work, relieved workers and increased the efficiency of the logistics center’s operations.
