Background of the customer

Our customer is a 100% family-owned, Hungary-based company founded in 1989, manufacturing children’s toys and outdoor play equipment. Its production site spans 18,000 square meters within an industrial park. Products meet the European EN 71 safety standard and carry the CE mark. Alongside strong domestic distribution through retail chains and toy stores, the company exports across more than a dozen European countries as well as Israel.

What was the requirement? 

The customer needed to automate a deburring process using a gas flame, where the robot removes parts from the machine and performs precise flame deburring. The process required exact, carefully programmed movements for multiple different products, and the same robot needed to serve several machines by being relocated between stations as needed.

Our offered Solution

We implemented a UR20 cobot equipped with a mechanical gripper, capable of removing parts from the machine and performing gas flame deburring with precisely programmed movement paths. Separate programs were developed for each product to handle the variety in the production line. To allow the cobot to serve multiple machines, we ensured that repeatability was fully secured even after moving the robot between different stations.

What was the benefit for the customer?

The new system significantly reduced manual labour and improved workplace safety by taking over a process involving open flame. At the same time, production output increased, and thanks to the robot’s ability to reliably serve multiple stations, the customer gained a flexible, mobile automation solution without compromising on precision or repeatability.
