Background of the Customer
Our client is one of the leading companies in the Hungarian pharmaceutical industry, with a history of more than a century. What was the requirement?
Our customer was a capsule manufacturing plant, where the encapsulation machine was filled manually: the operator climbed up and poured the material into it by hand. Automation of material handling between two machines was needed to replace this repetitive manual work, increase production efficiency and reduce the strain on human resources.
Our offered Solution
As a solution, we chose the Piab vacuum conveyor, which proved to be ideal for the task due to its compact size and modular design. The equipment ensures damage-free material handling between capsules, with minimal maintenance and is easy to clean thanks to its hygienic design. The automated solution ensures continuous material transport between two machines, even if the operator is performing another task, while production is running smoothly.
What was the benefit for the customer?
By introducing automation, our customer saved significant time and human resources, as operators no longer had to manually fill the capsules. This allowed them to allow operators to focus on more important tasks, while production runs continuously for up to 24 hours. In addition, the delivery of the capsules has become completely undamaged, and production has become scalable to meet the growing demand.
