Background of the Customer

Our customer is a global technology company that offers innovative systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and industrial applications, contributing to the sustainable development of mobility and transport.

With its broad product portfolio, it serves the construction, agriculture, wind energy, shipping and railway segments in addition to the automotive industry.

What was the requirement? 

Our client’s goal was to replace the operator service of the two NEF400 CNC machines, which were previously manually supplied with raw and finished parts. The goal was to reduce repetitive work, free up human resources and increase production efficiency.

Our offered Solution

To perform the task, we installed a UR robot with a unique, dual gripper, which can handle two parts at the same time, so it can easily serve both CNC machines at the same time. The system uses a two-way drawer system: on one side, the „raw“ parts are placed, and on the other side, the finished products are placed.

What was the benefit for the customer?

The automated solution resulted in significant human resource savings, efficiency gains and process reliability, while allowing operators to focus on other tasks that create much more value for the company.
