Production Line Automation for Roof Frames

Our customer’s goal was to bring the parts from outside the closed production line directly to the inside of the production line, so that they could continuously “feed” the production line. This required a solution that was not only reliable and safe, but also reduced the time and labor effort associated with material handling.
To solve the task, we installed a karakuri system, which consists of a gravity roller track with a pneumatic elevator. This system allows for a smooth, automatic supply of parts within the production line, while gravity and a pneumatic lift ensure a continuous flow of material. With this solution, we replaced an old, outdated roller track. The system also comes with a FIFO (First In, First Out) shelf, which ensures that the order of the parts is always maintained.


For our client, the introduction of the karakuri system brought significant benefits. The time for material handling tasks was reduced from 3 hours to 1 hour, which meant significant time savings. The logistical burden has decreased, so the work of material colleagues has become less burdensome and more efficient. The uninterrupted supply of the production line was ensured, while the use of the FIFO shelf guaranteed the correct order and quality of the parts. This not only increased production efficiency, but also helped to optimize the production process and reduce production costs.
