Why use air filters?

Ventilation dryers are installed on hydraulic and lubrication system containers to prevent the ingress of solid particles and moisture during the ventilation of the systems.
Fluid containers in hydraulic and lubrication systems are at risk of contamination by undesirable air pollutants. These undesirable air pollutants cause and accelerate the oil’s oxidation.

Altered oil properties, such as a reduced load-bearing capacity and lower temperature resistance, are the result. Water ingress may also lead to acid formation and subsequent corrosion forming on various component surfaces.
Frequent oil and filter changes, equipment failures and shortened installation lifetimes lead to higher maintenance budgets.
